Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This positions offers a hybrid work schedule (2 days from home 3 days in office) after fully trained.
What The Candidate Will Do
Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order
Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations
Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers
Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation
Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes
Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors
Proactive analysis to prevent service failures
Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy
Professional and timely communications
Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement
Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials
Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
1+ years of transportation/logistics experience
Problem solving/Critical thinking skills a must
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in transportation management or logistics
Basic understanding of BI and Tableau reporting
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
