Job Description:

Job Summary: This position is responsible for conceptualizing and designing low voltage energy storage software solutions that enable cost effective power supply, distribution, conversion and control.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Tracks current and future interactions of all system components and their integration into overall EE- Architecture with the focus on Low Voltage requirements (12/24/48V) including implications to power/voltage requirements, functional safety and cybersecurity

• Analyze and identify requirements and create gap analysis

• Analyze Tier 1, Tier 2 and automaker solutions and create internal reports and recommendations

• Lead concept development activities to generate novel product and system solutions

• Identify and track key system decisions that establish technology roadmaps and product architecture to enable more effective system solutions

• Lead and contribute to design reviews, test plans, and requirements reviews to further optimize the vehicle electrification systems

• Collaborate with stakeholders—engineering, advanced development, business development & corporate strategy

• Lead and contribute to the design and building of demonstration and proof of concept products, systems and/or vehicles

• Develop and present system solutions and concepts to customers

Education/Professional Knowledge

• PhD or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience

• 10+ years’ relevant experience regarding the Responsibility / Activities (listed below) for automotive software development projects (mandatory)

• Understanding of automotive electronics control units

• Understanding of vehicle wiring and data connections

• Expertise of automotive communication protocols

• Understanding of power electronics on relevant voltage levels

• Understanding of Functional Safety incl. Impact on Components and architecture

• Understanding of Cyber Security incl. Impact on Components and architecture

• Expertise in Automotive SW engineering process

• Understanding of automotive industry standards

• Open minded for emerging and advanced technologies

• Demonstrated track record of strong leadership with ability to achieve results through others and influence without authority
