As a Planning & Portfolio Senior Associate Analyst on the Planning and Portfolio Team, you'll play a central role in building long-term reporting and automation to fit the needs of the larger Technology organization. This particular role will work with technology and product teams to ensure high-level compliance for Portfolio and Time Tracking activities.
Additionally, the Planning and Portfolio team partners with technology and key business leaders to drive prioritization, road mapping and process execution across the organization. From evaluating new process opportunities to driving cross-functional initiatives, this team formulates strategic recommendations with actionable insights that help make internal teams more productive and successful.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data analysis and visualization, working in an entrepreneurial environment and has a proactive approach to creating impact in a fast-paced setting.
What you'll do:
Provide analysis support to the Planning & Portfolio Team including compliance analysis, historical resource spend, and trend analysis to facilitate informed decision making
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover opportunities and identify root causes for fluctuations in spend
Conduct regular portfolio reviews with managers to identify incremental improvements
Develop and produce recurring portfolio reports for managers and teams
Support monthly and quarterly reporting, providing rationale and insights
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, processes, and systems
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in business Admin, Finance, Economics or related field
3-5 years of experience in business strategy, analytics, planning, or a related role within a media company
Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills, capable of dissecting complex issues and formulating thoughtful recommendations and action plans
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative, lead projects independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations, with an ability to work and negotiate at all levels of the organization
Familiarity with Tableau, Jira, Tempo, Confluence Google Sheets, Excel, Outlook, MS Word, Slack or other similar products
Working knowledge of SQL to Query Databases
Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Ability to seek information, solve conceptual problems, corral resources and deliver results in challenging situations
Must be detail oriented, proactive, highly organized, and be able to prioritize and multi-task while working under shifting deadlines
