The Retirement Strategies Capital Management team is hiring a treasury analyst to support the capital management functions of the Individual Retirement Strategies business. The team is responsible for reporting and forecasting of Required Capital, GAAP equity and capital cash flows, as well as managing borrowing and liquidity for the Individual Retirement Strategies. The team interacts with various areas throughout Annuities and Financial Management, including Treasury, Chief Investment Office, Actuarial, Enterprise Risk Management and Tax. Thus, the ability to partner effectively with other Retirement Strategies areas, Domestic Business counterparts and Corporate is critical.

The position will require the individual to have or to gain a solid understanding of financial results on GAAP, statutory and tax reporting bases, and the ability to translate these into meaningful financial analytics as input to strategic business decisions.
 

The current employee work arrangement for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.

What you can expect:


  • Partner with Actuarial, CIO, Corporate Treasurers, and Tax to complete quarterly capital forecast, actual reporting, and various projects. Main deliverables include preparations of Required Capital, RBC / statutory capital forecast, cash flow analysis, excess capital, and other capital related items


  • Support the reporting and enhancement of certain enterprise risk management and stress testing frameworks, including annual Deterministic Stress Testing


  • Development of related presentations for senior management, rating agencies, regulators, and the Finance Committee/Board of Directors with the opportunity to present key business drivers and financial metrics to management


  • Provide treasury support for Retirement Strategies, including corporate finance, capital management, borrowing, liquidity and cash management


  • Support other ad hoc strategic projects and initiatives
     


What you’ll need:


  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or business-related field


  • 3+ years of financial management/analysis/research experience with exceptional analytical skills


  • Demonstrated leadership, partnering skills and excellent oral and written communication skills


  • Strong knowledge of insurance and actuarial concepts, GAAP, statutory and tax accounting are needed but could be obtained through on-the-job training


  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and presentation development/delivery skills


  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects


  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Progress towards or commitment to a CFA, CPA or MBA

The salary range for this role is from $76,800.00 to $114,400.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
