JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Proposal- Responsible for developing relationships and executing strategies that result in gifts from corporations, businesses and other organizations ($5,000 or more, or annual gifts from individuals and family foundation $1,000 or more). Implement solicitation strategies for assigned prospects via personal, telephone, direct mail and online solicitation for gifts totaling $1 million or more each year. Gather information and draft correspondence to donors as part of the solicitation process. Conduct follow up actions related to the fulfillment of proposals.
Corporate- Create and execute strategies which will enhance relationships with corporations, businesses and/or other entities that result in $1 - $1.5M in sponsorship revenue to Cincinnati Children's signature events and secondary events. Make sponsorship solicitations through personal visits, phone calls and email. Manage a portfolio of corporations and businesses. Track and report the status of sponsorship totals at regular meetings and communicate weekly to ensure all sponsors are receiving benefits. During post-event wrap-up, lead initiatives to creatively steward and acknowledge key sponsors and individual donors. Communicate corporate sponsorship progress during internal event planning committee meetings.
CMN Specific- Manage CCHMCs membership in Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH) to create $1M+ in annual revenue for the hospital. Implement the local CMNH corporate sponsorship program and participate in community fundraising events and promotions. Cultivate and develop additional cause related marketing opportunities for Cincinnati Children's with national and local retail businesses. Cultivate and secure additional sponsorships for CCHMC events.
Stewardship Communication- Design and implement processes for cultivating, acknowledging, stewarding and engaging donors for continuous private support to Cincinnati Children's. Author and edit content for personalized high-end impact reports for major donors, and mass stewardship pieces for Cincinnati Children's priority areas. Work with faculty and major gift officers to describe medical center programs and research initiatives to donors via communications tools. Write thank you letters to high end donors and prospects on behalf of Cincinnati Children's executives and board leadership.
Champions Program- Design and manage Cincinnati Children's Champions program. Create deep lasting relationships with grateful families committed to advocate and/or raise funds for Cincinnati Children's. Serve as resource to entire hospital by creating a catalog of Champion families who are willing to speak at fundraising events, board of trustee meetings, participate in family advisory councils and share their stories via videos, print and live presentations. Organize and attend special events/activities to cultivate and steward grateful families (i.e. - hosting VIP tent at Walk, attending departmental picnics for patient families). Thank individual families for their participation in events/projects as a Children's Champion. Plan and host large annual recognition event for all Champion families, overseeing all logistics and making sure event is within budget and meets infection control guidelines and safety standards.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
