The School of Public Health and Health Sciences has six vibrant departments, including three with a focus on Public Health Sciences: Biostatistics & Epidemiology, Health Promotion & Policy, and Environmental Health Sciences. Faculty in these three departments collectively teach in the undergraduate Public Health Sciences (BS) program, and support MPH, MS, and PhD programs in five public health subdisciplines.
Job Description:
The School of Public Health and Health Sciences is searching for a full-time Lecturer for the Public Health Sciences program. The teaching load for this position includes courses primarily in the undergraduate BS in Public Health Sciences program and may include teaching courses in the MPH program. The initial appointment for this benefited academic-year position is 2 years, with the potential for reappointment based on satisfactory performance and available funding.
The candidate will join as a non-tenure track member of the faculty in one of the Public Health Sciences Departments (Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Health Promotion and Policy, or Environmental Health Sciences) within the School of Public Health & Health Sciences (Department will be dependent on the candidate's academic background). Additional position responsibilities will include membership on department committees and school-wide service. The candidate will serve on the Undergraduate Curriculum Advisory Board for the undergraduate Public Health Sciences program. Summer teaching may be available and would be additionally compensated, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement.
