Manager, Facilities Regulatory Quality & Compliance



The University of Miami/UHealth department of Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Manager, Facilities Regulatory Quality & Compliance to work at the UHealth Medical Campus.




Job Summary



The Manager, Facilities Quality & Compliance (H) ensures compliance with regulatory standards and authorities having jurisdiction at the University of Miami UHealth System. This role includes managing compliance audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and implementing improvement initiatives. The Manager collaborates with leadership teams, physicians, and staff to ensure a safe and compliant environment.




Core Responsibilities




  • Develops and coordinates effective compliance processes to meet requirements set forth by CMS, TJC, OSHA, AHCA, and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction.




  • Monitors adherence to NFPA requirements in the inspection, testing, and maintenance of essential and critical systems.




  • Reports non-compliance performance to the Environment of Care Committee.




  • Assesses compliance in the commissioning process of essential & critical systems.




  • Implements workflows to ensure compliance sustainability.




  • Utilizes technology platforms to manage the compliance framework.




  • Assesses non-compliance risk and determines appropriate mitigation responses.




  • Monitors and improves the compliance management process as necessary.




  • Manages permit programs (e.g., Work Above the Ceiling, Hot Work).




  • Establishes and manages vendor/contractor credentialing programs.




  • Ensures Surveillance Rounds are scheduled and performed.




  • Manages documentation related to Interim Life Safety Measures and Pre-Construction Risk Assessments.




  • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.




  • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Core Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field




  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
