Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Duties: The primary functions of this position are to (1) act as lab manager and coordinate and support the basic needs of the research group, including ordering and receiving lab supplies, maintaining lab equipment, and preparing solutions and DNA constructs, (2) manage the mouse colony, and (3) drive a research project (collect, analyze, and interpret data, and present data at group meetings) concerning the molecular mechanisms of neuronal autophagy.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree and 0 to 1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Majors in Biology or another related life science preferred. Experience with molecular biology and mouse handling is preferred but not required. Must have strong communication and organization skills, ability to work with people from different backgrounds and different levels, as well as ability to work independently.
