The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) is excited to announce the 2025 Buckeye Diversity Summer Internship (BDSI), a summer enrichment program. The BDSI is a 10 week summer internship program that will expose the students to various areas of the health system.





Intern Job Responsibilities


Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project at the conclusion of the internship. Ability to operate in a complex, fast-paced environment Possess strong attention to detail and proven organizational skills Interest in working in the healthcare industry


Undergraduate rising seniors from universities and colleges, including The Ohio State University, Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority-serving institutions and other 4-year universities who seek to support the mission of our program:




  • Must be an undergraduate student entering their senior year of college




  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 (B) or higher




  • Students studying Business, Healthcare, Public Health, Psychology and other health disciplines are eligible to apply




  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite






The summer intern(s) will work in a fast-paced team environment and finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the health system. Up to (6) interns will be paired with an Executive Leader who will mentor the student throughout the internship. In addition to leadership mentoring each intern will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, participate in personal and professional development, opportunities to volunteer, monthly lunch and learns and various activities throughout the summer. The project focus areas include, but are not limited to Hospital Administration, Operations, Human Resources, Ambulatory Services and Mental and Behavioral Health. At the conclusion of the internship, students will have the opportunity to present their summer experience to senior leaders.



The OSUWMC Diversity internship program is a paid summer internship. OSUWMC will also provide housing to non-local students.
