Main Responsibilities:



  • The successful applicant will play a key role in generation of Sanofi's next generation expression platform for production of protein biologics involving generation of CHO cell lines stably expressing candidate biotherapeutics via recombinase mediated integration of transgenes


  • Perform genetic and phenotypic characterization of CHO cell lines, including transgene copy number and transcript analysis, cell growth, and protein production


  • Execute various molecular techniques for assembly of expression vectors, including Gibson assembly Gateway, PCR, restriction endonuclease digestions, DNA plasmid preparations, etc.


  • Use of basic sequence analysis tools (BLAST, Geneious, etc.) to analyse vector and genomic nucleotide sequences


  • Prepare reports, presentations, and publications to effectively communicate plans, progress, and results.





About You

Basic Qualifications:



  • PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology or related field (+0-3 years experience)


  • Experience with complex vector construction strategy (i.e. Gibson/Infusion assembly, Gateway) and molecular biology techniques.


  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and superb organizational skills.


  • The ability to work within a fast-paced environment.





Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques, Experience with automation (Hamilton/tecan/etc).


  • Aseptic technique, cell counting, passaging, cryopreservation, transfection, Gibson assembly, PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, ddPCR
