CA Pay Range (Annual):
$134,400.00 - $249,600.00At Infinera, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. Your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for equity grants, discretionary bonuses, or commission payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company’s incentive plans, the Company’s financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.

Compliance Engineer – Infinera Corp
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage Compliance projects for all Infinera product lines
• Support Homologation team for any necessary documentation needed to import Infinera gear into specific countries.
• Establish, review and execute test plans and with the help of the Compliance Program Manager.
• Work with a recognized Testing Laboratory to ensure that submitted products are tested to, and conform to all the specified standards in support of Compliance requirements
o Position requires extensive work with testing laboratories to ensure that the products under test complete the certification testing per the established schedule.
• Conduct product Electrical/Laser/Flammability safety, EMC, Telecom, NEBS, ETSI and related testing to determine compliance with applicable standards.
• Resolution of non-compliance issues encountered during product testing
• Assemble data sheet packages and similar product materials specification for review by R&D Compliance team and outside Agencies (working with the responsible engineering development members)
• Executes the timely completion of supporting documentation as necessary.
• Provide ongoing status updates, and participate in project planning meetings as may be requested.
• Responsible for test sample inventory (tracking by S/N) on an ongoing basis
• Assignments may include testing of hardware/firmware products, analyzing test results, and ensuring written reports are prepared and accurate, and stored onto the Compliance repository.
• Assist in generating internal Compliance testing process specifications.
• Other duties as required.
Credentials & Experience Desired:
• Minimum education level is a Bachelors degree in a technical subject area.
• Minimum professional experience in product safety or regulatory compliance positions of 4 to 6 years.
• Direct experience with EMC, GR-63-CORE, NEBS, ETSI testing at at FRU (Field Replaceable Unit) or chassis level
• Experience with product validation testing and agency certification.
• Successfully accomplished taking HW products (preferably Networking products) through UL, FCC, and NEBS testing & certification.
• Good skills in oral English as well as writing
• Future local travel as needed.
