HR Generalist
Job Description:
HITT Contracting is seeking a HR Generalist to assist with the day-to-day operations of Human Resources. The HR Generalist acts as a shared services concierge and is the first line of support to our team members in helping them to navigate policy and process, their training roadmap, benefit resources, the basics of multi-state payroll, reporting and analytics, and federal and state compliance. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-performance environment and takes great pride in ensuring a best-in-class employee experience. This role reports directly to the HR Manager of Compliance.

Responsibilities
Manages various HR email distributions across the department and responds to team member questions related to policies, benefits and leave, timesheet submissions, required learning courses, and other HR matters
Executes tier 1 tasks for each function within the HR department, such as providing instructions to file a leave claim, helping a team member to enroll in an upcoming training course, sending care packages, and placing HITT gear orders for eligible team members
Escalates all non-entry-level tasks to the appropriate functional expert(s) within the team or broader business in a timely manner
Generates HR metrics and reports for HR leaders and business stakeholders to help identify trends and inform decision-making
Maintains accurate employee records, updating information in HR systems, and ensuring data integrity
Supports day-of administration for new hire orientation to include material preparation and internal scheduling; serves as a backup to the Onboarding Specialist to facilitate orientation
Coordinates and schedules weekly Red Buckets to promote culture and collaborates with Team Member Engagement on special events
Assists with planning and execution of internal HR team engagement initiatives such as team member birthday recognition process
Identifies opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
1-3 years of generalist-related experience
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills with a service-first mindset
Thorough attention to detail
Ability to work with different personality types
Experience with Workday is a plus
Experience in EEO, FLSA, OFCCP, FMLA and ADA regulations
Experience in an in-office work environment
Strong teamwork and collaborative skills
Able to prioritize and manage competing demands while being adaptable and flexible
Experience with MS Excel and Word products
Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information
Eagerness to integrate into an entrepreneurial and fast-paced work environment requiring high output
