JOB SUMMARY

This is a hybrid position, 2 days per week in the office in DC, 20005



The Transformation Implementation Specialist will play a key role in the Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) Transformation Project (VTP), focusing on optimizing the processes and systems that support 9/11 victims’ injury and loss claims. Working closely with the VTP Project Delivery Lead and Product Owner, the specialist will provide vital project management and coordination support to ensure successful project delivery.

This mid-level position offers a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities, requiring strong organizational, communication, and project management skills. Candidates must have experience with technical implementation programs, particularly in preparing organizations for adopting modern systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Agile methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project management activities, including maintaining filing systems, calendars, and tracking information.
  • Manage the VCF Readiness project plan using JIRA or similar tools, including reporting and risk/issue tracking.
  • Coordinate across teams to align priorities and track project progress effectively.
  • Collaborate with the System Integrator to facilitate information exchange and tracking.
  • Draft and circulate meeting agendas based on schedules.
  • Record clear and accurate meeting notes, including detailed action items and responsibilities.
  • Track action items to completion and maintain updated logs.
  • Create and maintain project management artifacts such as tracking logs, reports, and dashboards.
  • Prepare and manage administrative forms, templates, and project documentation.
  • Anticipate project challenges, raise potential issues, and identify opportunities to improve communication and team efficiency.
  • Design and manage Outlook calendar invites for meetings and events.
  • Proactively support team goals and foster cross-functional collaboration.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proven skills in project management and coordination.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the technical project lifecycle.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing demands.
  • Familiarity with technical implementation vernacular and tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare detailed reports and action items.
  • Ability to identify and address issues before they become problems, supporting continuous improvement.
  • Strong proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word (templates, styles, and formatting) and MS Excel (intermediate level or higher).
  • Demonstrated time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage simultaneous deadlines and conflicting priorities effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications include:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Ability to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
  3. Undergraduate degree with 1–3 years of similar work experience.
  4. Proven experience supporting project management offices for large technology implementations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with federal government programs is a plus.
