The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic oversees the care and management of patients under the Mobile Integrated Healthcare program. Responsible for assessment, interaction, and treatment of those patients, including facilitating continuity of care by interacting with their physician and healthcare facilities. The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic provides primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment and stabilization of the critically ill and injured with the goal of reducing morbidity.
Responsibilities
The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic responds to patients needs by performing home visits (scheduled, unscheduled, urgent), assessments and treatments MIH protocols and procedures while interfacing with other clinicians.
Functions in both traditional (field paramedic) and non-traditional settings and providing ALS care activities and non-emergency care with a long-term focus.
The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic effectively and efficiently communicates and works in a team oriented.
Follows operational flow and procedures efficiently and effectively to maximize utilization.
Assists in the development of processes and education materials pertaining to Mobile Integrated Healthcare.
The Mobile Healthcare Paramedic functions as a facilitator and educator for clinical programs including continuing education for field crews and new hires.
Drive performance management; assures delivery of high-quality patient care and customer service.
Prepares written reports as required.
Maintains effective scene management/leadership; follows ICS protocols.

Minimum Required Qualifications (All licenses and certifications must be current.)
Associates degree in emergency medical services, healthcare or business administration, or other related degree, equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years' experience as a field paramedic.
EMT I/C or equivalent instructor experience.
Instructor certification in ACLS, PALS or related pediatric course, AMLS, CPR
MA EMT-P Certification.
ACLS Certification.
Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Valid driver's license with no driving violations.
Driving record in compliance with department policy.
Mobile Healthcare Paramedic experience preferred.
FCCS or equivalent experience preferred.
IFT or Critical Care experience preferred.
