Functions independently, strategizing primarily with the Principal Investigator (with a dotted line to Diabetes Program Manager), responsible for all aspects of diabetes clinical research. Responsible for the day-to-day operation as well as working with division leadership to strategize for any long-term issues that may arise. Works with division leadership for fiscal maintenance of all clinical trials awarded to the Aroda clinical research team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all aspects of project direction and administration.
In collaboration with PI, establishes clinic procedures and recruitment strategies and oversees the day-to-day conduct of the trial in accordance with the protocol.
Prepares project reports for clinical trials within Industry.
Responsible for ensuring on-going IRB approval for the study.
Responsible for the fiscal solvency of the research operation. Makes projections, prepares financial and project reports, and oversees budget.
Responsible for all HR issues on project. Oversees hiring, firing, evaluation, discipline, training and orientation of all staff. Has overall responsibility for supervision of Clinical Research Coordinators.
Serves as spokesperson for the study, when needed.
Ensures on-going data integrity of study by overseeing data collection and recording function.
All other duties, as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or equivalent experience required; MS preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressively more responsible experience in a research related field. Prior supervisory experience required. Prior experience with financial management and data collection systems.
