Responsibilities
Compile cost & pricing data to support bids and proposals
Perform price sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of different pricing scenarios on revenue and profitability.Leads government cost and pricing audits, working closely with finance team.
Works cross functionally to ensure good data is received in from all functions to ensure the most accurate quoting possible
Identify pricing risks and recommend corrective actions as necessary.
Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of pricing decisions, methodologies, and rationale for audit and compliance purposes. Supports on time execution of quotes through the DOA / gate review process.
Builds financial business models that incorporate cost, profit margins, customer requirements, and market conditions, for OpCo Commercial and Finance approval.
Articulate the proposal's winning strategy using tools such PowerPoint, cost structures, or excel.
Analyze and interpret customer RFP/RFQ/RFI requirements.

Manage proposal from start to submittal, and support through negotiation phase with leadership as required (dependent on bid value)
Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database and quote log.
Define new / update business procedures, evaluate resource and tool requirements for pricing.
Support total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to customers.
Own customer portals for RFQ management
Run KPI's for pricing & proposals, meeting customer response timeliness requirements and internal financial hurdles
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and new technologies impacting aerospace pricing models.
Data entry as required
PO Review validation
Contribute and support Front End HPT
Qualifications
Basic understanding of aircraft gear and housing manufacturing processes or similar precision part manufacturing is required. These processes will include but not limited to:
ID Grinding, Gear Grinding/Cutting, Milling Operations, Lathe Operations, Part Marking, Deburring, Heat treating, plating, NDT, etc.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Capability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
Understanding of cost structure used to develop estimates.
Have basic knowledge of different materials, i.e forging, bar stock.
Ability to enter information into an ERP system and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to draft basis of estimates.
Creative thinking with ability to multi-task

Must have knowledge of gear and gearbox products.
Highly organized project management skills to coordinate resources and manage multiple activities to meet established proposal deadlines.
Open to a changing environment and adopt business changes.
Experience with government contracting and compliance (e.g., FAR, DFARS).
Knowledge of contract negotiation processes and pricing for large-scale aerospace projects.
Familiarity with cost-plus, fixed-price, and time-and-materials contract pricing models.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or +7 years of relevant experience in finance / programs / engineering / contracts or /proposal development
