We are seeking a Leader for the Electrical Engineering and Controls team that is innovative, passionate, collaborative and highly capable with a proven track record of sustained success in the execution of complex robotic hardware development initiatives. This person will be responsible for various aspects of the electrical/controls design, development, test, and manufacturing readiness of our pharmacy automation equipment. This position will require the individual to lead and participate in both new product development, as well as, sustaining activities for our existing product fleet. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, communication, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team environment are skills that will support a high level of success in this position.

Key Responsibilities
As a senior member and team lead of the electrical engineering & hardware control team this person will work collaboratively with multi-functional teams to implement critical improvements or net new robotic product designs from concept to production including design, prototyping, verification, validation, and certification.
Lead and support the electrical and controls/firmware portions of the R&D technical team on multiple projects in parallel.
Mentor junior Electrical and Control Engineers to provide them with technical and career guidance.
Work to ensure that the members of the electrical and controls team have the skills and training to perform their roles with technical excellence.
Assists with estimating work task durations and prioritizations. Partners with Hardware Delivery Leads to ensure that program objectives are refined and clearly documented (scope, schedule, requirements, and priorities in the event of tradeoffs).
Develop a mentality of collaboration, execution, and continuous improvement within the team. Actively work to improve the quality and reliability of current and future products within the Pharmacy Automation portfolio by applying theoretical and hands-on support to identify problems and deliver robust solutions.
Decompose complex system requirements into a sound architectural design and straightforward electrical specifications.
Provide electrical solutions for changes to existing products in terms of: design test setups for manufacturing, write test applications, develop tools for system diagnostics and monitoring capabilities, and provide support for existing board designs.
Apply knowledge of electrical engineering to design and improve products including robotics, servo systems, power electronics, communications networks, and supervisory control systems.
Create, update, and release technical documentation to support the electrical aspects of the systems being developed.
Ensure the electrical and controls team follow a consistent structured design and development process. Where applicable, ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
Provide electrical support for the ongoing regulatory certification efforts for multiple product lines.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
10 years minimum of applicable experience required
Experience working and collaborating with a global hardware team in a matrixed organization.
Proven knowledge of motion control, AC and DC power electronics, motors and controls, sensors, servo systems, and embedded control systems
Experience with multiple brands of PLC controllers.
Experience in obtaining and maintaining regulatory certification for products which comply with UL-61010 or UL-60601, CE, TUV, CSA and other external regulatory bodies.
Experience with obtaining EMI/EMC certification.
Solid understanding of current safety and regulatory standards for medical devices.
Familiarity with the Altium PCB development environment or similar EE design package for schematic capture, board layout, manufacturing files, and documentation for PCBA development.
Proficiency with LabView and/or LabWindows CVI software to develop and support test automation would be a plus.
C# programing under Windows Visual Studio would be a plus.
