The purpose of the Shipping Operator is to provide shipping and transfer support to the Production Team. This role is also intended to ensure our product is staged Production use, audited, handled, stored, and shipped and
readily tracked efficiently while meeting our high-quality standards and maintaining targeted customer service levels.
Key Responsibilities
Lead safety & quality in warehouse and shipping operations.
Adhere to all Mars Inc/Royal Canin Safety & Quality and Food Safety requirements.
Service the Packaging Lines
Wrap Pallets of Finished Product with Stretch-Wrap Material
Stack empty bags for Packaging Line as necessary.
Stack broken down cardboard boxes into case erector for Packaging Line as necessary
Stage Finished Product in Warehouse and or trailer
Prepare Trailer for Loading
Load Trailers with Finished Product
Unload Production Supplies (raw materials, packaging, pallets) from Trailers
Escalate and report any issues to Shipping Coordinator, Warehouse Coordinator, Shift Manager and/or Flow Manager.
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and control (cycle counts).
Verify all required documentation including quality, production, and sanitation records.
Ensure all flow housekeeping tasks are performed and the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) is executed.
Perform a changeover and walkthrough (MSE CPs) with the oncoming and off-going team to discuss shipping-area status and to ensure
cleanliness and safety.
Drive for 5S Step-Change in shipping/warehouse Oversee and Maintain Forklift Charging/equalization schedule/Rack inspection
Make sure that all Forklift Pre-Checks are completed
Perform assigned task of master sanitation schedule of Extrusion Perform miscellaneous tasks the Supervisor or Warehouse Coordinator directs
Assist in other production areas, as requested.
Handling of FG including stocking, loading, and labeling.
Replenishment and restocking of pallets, packaging materials, and raw materials.
Organization of warehouse.

Shipping operator is accountable for safety, quality, and productivity.
Shipping operator needs to have eye for driving continuous improvement in shipping/warehouse operations.
Education & Professional Qualifications:
High School graduate and relevant logistics/transportation experience.
Must have the ability to work a rotating shift.
Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility is preferred
Knowledge / Experience Basic knowledge of Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems.
Forklift certified.
