We're seeking a skilled Salesforce Administrator to join our team in Chicago's Western suburbs. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a relatively new implementation, making significant contributions to a complex, multi-depth Salesforce environment. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with experienced developers and junior administrators to enhance system functionality and improve user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Configuration and Customization: Implement and configure Salesforce features, including:
Screen Flows
Assignment and Validation Rules
Approval Processes
Fields, Layouts, and Record Types
Dynamic Layouts, Apps, and Actions
Mobile Administration
Reports and Dashboards
User and License Management: Manage user access, permissions, profiles, sharing settings, and other security configurations.
Sandbox Management: Oversee and maintain sandbox environments to support development and testing.
Data Quality: Implement data quality rules and automation to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
System Maintenance: Perform regular system maintenance tasks, including security reviews, updates, health checks, and optimizer runs.
Business Analysis and Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with users and stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve system efficiency.
User Training and Adoption: Develop and deliver training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to users.
Quality Assurance: Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure system stability and performance.
Required Qualifications:
3+ years of Salesforce administration experience in a complex environment
Strong problem-solving and technical skills
Proven experience with Salesforce NPSP, Salesforce Experience Cloud (Community), and Lightning Experience
In-depth knowledge of Salesforce sharing and security models (roles, profiles, permissions, OWD, sharing rules)
Solid database background and experience working with SQL databases
Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, including Flows, fields, page layouts, record types, custom settings, dashboards, and reports
Experience with data loading tools like Data Loader or Import Wizard
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Salesforce Administrator Certification
Experience training users and developing training materials
Passion for continuous learning and professional development
Active participation in the Salesforce community
Experience using Salesforce in a non-profit environment
