SUMMARY: The Childrens Ministry Coordinator has the responsibility of assisting the Childrens Ministry Director in all the tasks needed to develop, maintain, and lead the ministry in all aspects pertaining to its function within CRCC Policies and Guidelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
LEADERSHIP AND MINISTRY COORDINATION
Collaborate with the Childrens Ministry Director to design engaging and biblically sound lessons, ensuring that they are age-appropriate and aligned with ministry goals. Innovate solutions for presenting complex biblical concepts in ways that resonate with children.
Assist in leading and coordinating all aspects of Sunday services, including worship, lessons, and activities for children. Ensure that services run smoothly and engage children in a meaningful worship experience.
Oversee volunteer recruitment, scheduling, and training. Ensure volunteers are equipped with the necessary tools and guidance to effectively execute their roles. Provide ongoing support and mentorship to foster a positive and collaborative environment.
Support the development, organization, and execution of special events such as holiday programs, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and family outreach events. Train and coordinate volunteer teams to deliver seamless and impactful events that enhance childrens spiritual
growth.
OPERATIONAL AND LOGISTICAL OVERSIGHT
Ensure that all teaching spaces are properly equipped and set up in advance of services and events. Regularly update tools such as Padlet with lesson plans and materials and ensure that the environment is conducive to learning.
Keep abreast of current and emerging childrens ministry curriculums. Evaluate new
materials for potential integration into the program, ensuring they are biblically accurate and engaging for the target age group.
Prioritize the operational needs of the ministry, assigning tasks and responsibilities to volunteer teams to ensure smooth and efficient execution of weekly services and special events.
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and maintain an organized schedule for all volunteer teams, ensuring coverage for all services and events. Communicate regularly with volunteers to ensure they are informed and prepared for their roles.
Collaborate with the Fellowship One manager to maintain accurate records within the churchs management system. Regularly update volunteer information, attendance records, and event participation data.
Ensure that all volunteers are trained on and comply with CRCCs policies and procedures.
Act as a point of contact for volunteers regarding church guidelines and expectations.
Assist in the creation of skits, props, and engaging activities to enhance childrens lessons
and worship experiences, including for special Experience Sundays. Ensure activities are
aligned with the ministrys overall vision and goals.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES: None.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must be able effectively take Bible lessons and bring
to light the lessons through creative ways children can grasp Biblical truths and understand the gospel. Must be a team player and able to receive directions from Childrens Ministry Director, as well as senior leadership. Must be willing to adjust and work outside a 40-hour week when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty exhibiting a posture of humility and reverence for Gods Word. Must be biblically literate and engaged in the life of the church. Must be able to communicate with parents and volunteers. Must be able to work under time constraints and pressure.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); with a minimum of four years experience in related field.
COMMUNICATION/LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general documents. Ability to write reports for data entered. Must be skilled and knowledgeable in using planning center. Computer literacy in word processing and spreadsheets is required. Must be able to use Microsoft Word, w, Outlook, Excel, Fellowship One.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and to make basic arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
REASONING AND ANALYSIS ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form with attention to details.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Handles staff, volunteers, visitors, congregants, and vendors inquiries in a positive, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable manner, remembering God as their primary focus. Represents CRCC professionally at every contact with staff, congregants and vendors.
ATTENDANCE: Must consistently report to work as scheduled and maintain an attendance record that complies with CRCC policies and procedures. This position may also require working on weekends and during special events, in alignment with the needs of the ministry and church activities.
