Role Summary

Do you possess the power of curiosity?

In this role, you’ll create content that engages clients; promotes the firm’s products, services, and brand; and supports strategic business objectives.

You’ll be asked to develop content—across a range of media—that supports our clients as well as marketing, sales, events, and more.

Applicants should demonstrate their experience developing strategic communications and an ability to write for multiple audiences with different motivations.

Responsibilities


  • Develops effective strategies for communicating across multiple mediums to help solve marketing challenges.

  • Reviews and edits content produced by less experienced professionals.

  • Participates with design in creative meetings for project kickoffs and brainstorming sessions; then develops and recommends an appropriate style of written content needed to support marketing campaigns.

  • Presents ideas and seeks to encourage business partners, clients, and design to adopt recommended content.

  • Fosters collaborative relationships with marketing peers to realize and implement creative content.

  • Supports multiple business unit/department teams, providing responsive and timely replies to their requests for content and editing of complex content.

  • Develops content within writing style guidelines and promotes internal standards to less experienced staff to drive consistency in communication strategies.

  • Performs advanced quality review and inspects deliverables for adherence to regulatory and product-appropriate guidelines, coordinating with compliance and legal colleagues as necessary.

  • May assist managers in the resource scheduling of writers and editors for standard projects.

  • May conduct research and/or testing to develop content for optimum user experience.

Qualifications
Required:


  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 5+ years of total relevant work experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience creating content within the financial services or retirement industries is preferred.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.

Base salary ranges:

$103,500.00 - $177,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$91,000.00 - $155,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$83,000.00 - $141,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
