JOB SUMMARY:
The Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Program manager works in tandem with DEIB Officer to help develop and execute on DEIB strategy and support the development and implementation of Webster Banks Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As DEIB Program Manager you will:
Liaise with Business Resource Groups (BRG's) and execute on their plans and initiatives through marketing and calendaring programs including speaker series, workshops, mentoring circles, etc., pro-active roster and waitlist management, and related day-of execution of programs, etc.
Develop initiatives to improve staff belonging and safety, such as creating learning opportunities and forums for open dialogue and courageous conversations regarding cultural proficiencies to build an inclusive environment, managing BRG programs and partnering with BRG groups to advocate and amplify their voices across the organization.
Enhance and standardize our Diversity Equity Inclusion and Belonging Council and BRGs to influence them to prioritize and drive business and strategic initiatives.
Work with HR and leaders across the company to reimagine how we will attract, grow, and retain a diverse workforce and foster an environment of belonging and inclusion and partner with Talent Acquisition to identify and drive diversity recruiting efforts with clear metrics including strategic sourcing, targeting diverse talent pools, diverse interview panels, participating in diverse career fairs and other innovative approaches including promoting Webster DEI&B through support at local internal and external events, i.e. career fairs, Town Halls, etc..
Partner with L&D and HR Business Partners to integrate initiatives into talent practices including performance management, leadership development, succession planning, total rewards, retention and managing mentorship, fellowship and/or sponsorship programs for marginalized groups.
Coordinate with Marketing and Communications Team representatives to streamline and generate ideas and content to communicate and promote DEI initiatives internally and externally, including regularly updating the internal intranet site
Communicate with employees at all corporate levels across Webster bank to answer programming queries, distribute program communications and pre-work materials for attendees
Connect with external facilitators and internal events team to ensure appropriate materials, setting up prep meetings, room set up and event catering for seamless end-to-end execution
Track and analyze DEI data and report on organizational progress against key DEI metrics.
Support HR Analytics team for quarterly reporting and development analytic needs.
Analyze attrition and evaluation data to provide proactive recommendations regarding programming enhancements.
Embed DE&I in the organization's DNA through use of tools, technology, processes, and structure.
Expand our DEI plans across the organization and all our operations, including building a culture that takes a holistic approach towards DEI and deepen staff knowledge on DEI principles, and training staff in implementing solutions to build safe and inclusive spaces for everyone.
Keep current on diversity programs and developments by maintaining key partnerships with other leaders and organizations in the field on behalf of the company. Share best practices and trends across the company and with our affiliates.
Any other responsibilities as assigned to you by the DEIB Officer.
Educations, Experience & Skills:

The experience we'll be looking out for, and which we think will be helpful coming into a role like this, are:
High school diploma or GED required.
Advanced degree - Associates, Bachelors, Masters, etc. - preferred.
2+ years experience in a formal DEI position or DEI leadership role
5+ years experience in program or project management, HR, Learning & Development, or other relevant experiences
Experience articulating a vision, translating it into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to deliver against the plan
Experience with managing company-level initiatives with multiple stakeholders
Strong communication skills across all levels within an organization. Great storytelling skills a plus!
Experience with facilitating DEI workshops or trainings
Experience translating data and analytics to develop insights, telling stories, driving decisions and measuring impact
Ability to translate external and internal trends into innovative practices
Skilled at developing positive collaborative relationships with peers and leaders across an organization
Experience maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion
Experience working in a high-growth company is preferred
Professional experience with DEI, especially with cultural dynamics in global organizations, with demonstrated results.
An effective cross-cultural communicatorand influencer - who possesses great interpersonal skills to build solid connections with people of many backgrounds.
An empathetic and nimble facilitator - who works to build accessible, safe, welcoming and collaborative working environments in any situation.
Understanding of adult learning principles, and ability to create engaging training content.

The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000USD to $110,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
