Position Overview: This role provides overall agronomic support to the Agronomy division team members. This includes providing training to location teams to help them develop both basic and advanced agronomic knowledge so they can add value to our customers. The role includes customer relationship development, personnel growth, keep current of industry agronomic practices, along with short and long-term planning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to
Generation of soil sampling maps.
Variable rate fertilizer/seed recommendations.
Process aerial imagery into usable format.
Assist in mapping training of Keystone Cooperative personnel.
Become the lead for VR irrigation and 3rd party irrigation systems.
Assist in further developing the field scout program.
Help with multiple scouting training sessions.
Assist field scouts with agronomic questions and technical support.
Utilize Keystone Cooperative order tracker system to manage scouting fields.
Manage field imagery during growing season and assign directive scouting points.
Assist in organization and planning of field trials.
Work with interns to document plot progress and maintain plot cosmetic appearance.
Analyzing plot data and create a year-end plot book.
Assist in GIS mapping data tasks as needed.
Assist in the maintenance and deployment of Keystone Cooperative weather stations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Possess great interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work within a team.
Ability to demonstrate problem solving skills, including organization and scheduling of multiple tasks and data management.
Demonstrate practical skills with sound understanding of site management, staff management, and field operations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, or higher, in agriculture or related field.
Prior experience with GIS mapping software is preferred.
