Location: Denver, Colorado
We're looking for an experienced Subrogation Paralegal or plaintiff litigation paralegal with at least 3 years of hands-on experience to join our client's firm in the Denver Tech Center. This role will involve managing subrogation cases, handling insurance claims, and supporting attorneys with litigation and settlement efforts. The firm is offering a hybrid work schedule of 3 days in the office, 2 days remote for all paralegals. Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of subrogation claims, from start to finish, including tracking deadlines and preparing documents.
Investigate insurance claims and gather necessary documentation (e.g., accident reports, medical records).
Draft and file legal documents like demand letters, settlement agreements, and discovery responses.
Assist with settlement negotiations and communicate regularly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.
Support attorneys with trial prep, including organizing exhibits and preparing for depositions.
Keep case files organized and ensure all information is up to date.
Track billable hours and follow firm billing guidelines.
Qualifications:
(1) At least 3 years of plaintiff litigation experience OR subrogation experience is strongly preferred
(2) Four-year college degree and/or paralegal certificate is required
(3) Strong document analysis and summary drafting skills
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with legal software (e.g., Clio, InTapp, LexisNexis) and MS Office.
Bonus:
Familiarity with lien resolution and claims recovery.
