**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking **Accounting Manager** to lead our accounting functions and contribute to our financial success. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities spanning month-end/year-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and more. Ideal candidates will bring a strong foundation in GAAP and prior experience in consumer goods, retail, or wholesale industries.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Manage and execute month-end and year-end close processes independently.
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide actionable insights.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with external CPAs for tax preparation and audit support.
Leverage advanced Excel and ERP systems to streamline accounting processes.
Provide guidance and support in inventory accounting and cost analysis.
Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and maintain financial integrity.
Present financial findings and reports to management with clarity and confidence.
**Requirements:**
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or higher-level position.
Proven experience in consumer goods, retail, or wholesale industries.
Strong expertise in month-end/year-end close and general ledger accounting.
Proficient in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with widely used ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP preferred).
Solid understanding of GAAP principles and standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
Exposure to inventory management
MBA or CPA
