The Role
Plans, develops, and coordinates training programs for DDG, LHA, and LPD class ships. Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids. Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. May utilize trainers with technical expertise. Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.
Complete understanding of training principles, concepts, and practices and full knowledge of industry practices. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems and perform fairly complex related tasks. Ability to interact frequently with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters. Working knowledge in electrical systems, power generation and distribution, and control systems is required.
Must Have
Bachelors degree with 6 years experience; Or 10 years of professional experience (4 years or more years as a classroom instructor, Master Training Specialist or similar qualifications ) in lieu of a degree.
