How Will You Make an Impact?
Our team is dynamic and fast paced, relying on teamwork, multitasking, and communication within the team and the larger organization. We are seeking an upbeat individual with strong communication, technical and operational skills to join our team. This position will support the laboratory functions for formulations, which includes preparing labware for manufacturing use and performing filtrations or buffer/stock preparation as needed.
A Day in the Life (Bulk Formulations) - Toxicology
Independently perform product filtrations, manufacture buffers, stocks solutions, & matrices for the Bulk Formulations team to support production of calibrators, controls, and reagents according to cGMP using SOPs, MPIs, and recording information following GDP with minimal guidance
Perform in-process testing using equipment such as spectrophotometers & pH meters
Fulfill MRF requests for chemstore and maintain daily logs in accordance with cGMP and GDP
Maintain lab equipment including pumps, pH meters, and flow meters
Monitor stocks of common lab supplies; help reorder items as needed including broken or worn lab ware, filters, etc
Submit facilities tickets for lab equipment needing maintenance and complete preventative maintenance (PM) forms for lab equipment & fill out retirement forms with guidance
Participate in process improvement projects, 5S team, and lab clean up
Clean steel tanks and prepare glassware and steel tanks for sterilization in autoclave and operate autoclave (occasionally)
Keep department manager updated on all issues and perform other job duties as required
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting or related field
Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to maintain daily logs in accordance with cGMP and GDP
Working knowledge of the metric system (weights & volumes)
Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated and focused
Good verbal communication skills, can follow procedures carefully
Basic computer/software skills (Outlook, Excel and Word)
Must work well in a team environment and be adaptable to changes in priorities
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Must be able to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift 25 lbs routinely
May be required to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $21.42-$32.13.
