Description:


The Department of Mathematics at Tulane University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar to work in the research group of Prof. Tommaso Buvoli (https://tommasobuvoli.com/). Research topics include scientific computing, numerical analysis, and scientific machine learning. The postdoc will also teach two mathematics courses per year.


The appointment is a year-to-year position with a renewal pending successful annual review




Qualifications:


Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics or a related field.


An ideal candidate will have:


- Past experience deriving and analyzing numerical methods and/or machine learning methods for scientific computing.


- A strong computational background and experience with languages and frameworks such as Matlab, Python, NumPy/SciPy, Pytorch/TensorFlow/Jax.
