Tulane University School of Medicine's Department of Surgery is seeking candidates for a clinical faculty position in Trauma/Emergency General Surgery and SICU at the assistant or associate professor level.


The clinical practice associated with this position will consist of Trauma call, Emergency General Surgery and Trauma ICU and based at UMC's Norman McSwain Level I Trauma Center in New Orleans. Additional responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate medical education. This is an excellent opportunity for an acute care surgeon interested in the education of residents and medical students in our busy academic program. Applicants should have special interest in basic science and/or clinical research.




Qualifications:


Candidates should have satisfactorily completed a training program in general surgery and surgical critical care accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and be board certified, or eligible if recently trained, and eligible for licensure in Louisiana. Fellowship training in trauma and critical care is required.
