Position Summary:

The Night Supervisor for the residential summer camp program is responsible for monitoring dorms during night hours. This position is responsible for walking halls and ensuring students adhere to curfew hours. Responding to questions from students and staff. Document and report any misconduct. Assisting with any emergency that may arise.


This position will report to the Director of Precollegiate Learner Programs at William & Mary. The Night Supervisor will work closely with the Program leadership, other Resident Advisors, and On-site Program Coordinators to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support the program and all policies and procedures are being adhered to.


Conditions of Employment:


The Camp Launch and Camp Orbit Night Supervisors will be required to live in the dorms from July 12, 2024, through July 27, 2024.


Camp Optimist Night Supervisors will be required to live in the dorms from June 22, 2024 through July 6, 2024.




This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.


This position is a temporary (hourly) position not to exceed 6 months. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed on average 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve-month period beginning May 1 each year.


This is a restricted position, subject to the continued availability of funding.

Required Qualifications:

* High School Graduate.
* Must be 21 years or older.
* Demonstrated ability to work and multitask effectively in a complex and fast-paced setting.
* Ability to work 10:00 pm -6:00 am.


Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with K-12 students.
* Prior overnight shift experience.
