The Senior Automotive ADAS Technician will provide electric vehicle and mobility equipment, advanced diagnostic, technology expertise and end of line (EOL) autonomous vehicle equipment commissioning support. The Senior Automotive ADAS Technician will mentor and oversee team members’ technical deliverables to ensure Roush and customer standards are met.
As a SeniorAutomotive ADAS Technician, you will be responsible for:
Diagnosing in depth physical and operational electronic and assembly issues using supplied and created hardware and software combinations
Communicating with cross functioning teams on advanced electrical and electronic systems and autonomous control systems.
Following provided work instructions such as tech papers, schematics, 2D and 3D prints, cut sheets, and sample harnesses
Validating DAT (Driver Assist Technologies), ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems), AV(Autonomous Vehicle) and EV (Electric Vehicle) systems functionality
Assembling, modifying, and repairing wiring harnesses from schematics, using hand tools and proper assembly and rework techniques
Training, coaching, and mentoring team members related to their job responsibilities and be available as a subject matter expert to assist the team and customers
Validating quality of wire harness assemblies and system installations
Working in small teams to complete daily engineering requirements
Tracking inventory of project parts and supplies.
Maintaining clean and organized workspace
To be considered as a Senior Automotive ADAS Technician, you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 8 years of mechanical, electrical or instrumentation experience.
Minimum of 3 years of Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS), Electric Vehicle (EV), or Autonomous Vehicle (AV) experience
Valid driver's license
Ability to travel 30% of the time
Excellent proficiency in the creation, modification, and installation of wiring systems and harnesses
Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent fluency with use of vehicle diagnostic hardware and software and good knowledge of vehicle integration software and data collection
A successful candidate may also have:
National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Advanced Driver Assistance Systems Certification (L4).
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or similar
Familiar with the use of oscilloscope or picoscope
