The Junior Planner Buyer is responsible for the planning and purchasing of 3rd party assemblies and accessories from strategic suppliers supporting our Sales, Service and our global distribution centers. They will be responsible for managing supplier order placement to help maintain strong On Time Delivery to the end customer.

This position is part of the Global Spares and Consumables team and will be located in the SCIEX American Distribution Center in Dallas/Coppell TX area and is an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Place daily purchase orders and follow up on PO updates via supplier acknowledgements.


• Contribute to global purchasing planning for a category of items and maintain global OTD targets.


• Resolve issues with PO discrepancies.


• Maintain VMI (vendor managed inventory) with appropriate BPA (blanket purchase agreements).

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related business area and 2+ years' experience in buying, planning, or customer service within Logistics or Supply Chain area


• Familiarity with Oracle or similar ERP software


• Agility working with deadlines and regular reprioritization of responsibilities, handling fluctuation in workload


• Strong analytical skills, initiative, judgment, and problem-solving ability

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in working within an international matrix organization, preferably in a production and business-to-business environment
