GDH Consulting is hiring a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team, working remotely. This role involves leading and managing end-to-end projects across the entire delivery service lifecycle, from initiation to closure, specifically supporting the Department of Defense (DOD). The successful candidate will work within a team of geographically dispersed project managers and engineers, contributing to the design, architecture, and support of critical networks using innovative solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work on foundational engineering and operations support, ensuring networks and data centers perform at the highest levels. The role requires a strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and a keen ability to manage competing demands efficiently.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the project lifecycle for DOD support, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure of projects.
Work collaboratively with geographically dispersed teams of project managers and engineers to design, architect, and support critical networks with innovative solutions.
Ensure infrastructure readiness for future architectures and solutions, assisting in navigating through proof of concepts and introduction of new technologies.
Develop and oversee PMO governance, ensuring adherence to project schedules, financial reporting, performance reporting, and communication strategies.
Manage issues, risks, and actions effectively, along with procurement management and other key project management skillsets.
Strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and project success.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of all processes, methodologies, and services.
Demonstrate understanding and adherence to Government contracting regulations under the FAR/DFAR.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an IT project manager, with a strong background in project and program management.
Proven experience supporting DOD customers and managing large-scale, multi-technology engagements in highly complex environments.
Exceptional project management skills, including scheduling, financial reporting, performance reporting, and communications.
Very proficient in software tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exemplary command of the English language, both oral and written.
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to self-manage and lead teams to success.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, MBA, or equivalent relevant hands-on PM experience preferred.
Experience with executive client facing and strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability in support of continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and services.
Understanding of Government contracting under the FAR/DFAR is essential.
