We are seeking a visionary Sr. Director, National Inventory Management & Product Strategy to lead the charge in managing and optimizing our national blood product inventory. This pivotal role oversees the allocation of critical components like red blood cells, platelets, and frozen products across divisions and distribution sites-ensuring the right products reach the right places at the right time to make a difference.

You'll also play a key role in shaping process development, managing external contracts for non-client sales, and overseeing product planning to meet both internal demand and external market needs. Collaborating across teams-from finance to distribution-you'll drive strategic decisions that directly impact patient care.

As a Sr. Director, National Inventory Management & Product Strategy, you'll get to:

  • Inventory Oversight & Strategy: Direct the movement, allocation, and inventory management of blood products to meet customer needs, including developing SOPs, policies, and performance metrics. Proactively address projected shortages or surpluses with strategic solutions.

  • External Partnerships & Sales Management: Oversee contracts and sourcing with external organizations, including non-client sales and recovered plasma agreements. Develop external markets for surplus blood products, set competitive pricing, and manage revenue targets.

  • Market Analysis & Collaboration: Monitor industry trends, collections, and sales to develop short- and long-term production strategies. Lead cross-functional collaboration with sales, marketing, and finance to address national production risks and opportunities.

  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure optimal logistics and vendor selection to minimize costs while maintaining service excellence. Facilitate monthly S&OP meetings to align initiatives with organizational goals.

Requirements

Knowledge/ Education


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as they relate to the blood industry manufacturing activities required.

Experience

Ten years of related experience required. To include:

• Five years leadership experience.

• Eight years of experience in a blood centers operation management roles.

  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.

  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Must have analytical, statistical, personal organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to organize, prioritize, and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

  • Effective oral and written business communication skills.

  • Must have a participative management style, strong team development, coaching skills, and the ability to lead and motivate senior and executive-level managers.

  • Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active member of management.

  • Ability to travel (25+%).
