Pay: $20.50/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:30 PM to 1:30 AM
Primary Purpose of the Role: As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and testing incoming products, WIP (work-in-progress), and finished products. You'll ensure quality and food safety on the production floor during your shift. This role involves internal auditing, customer inspections, investigating complaints, and supporting corrective/preventive actions.
Essential Functions:
Conduct internal quality audits, inspecting finished products, production paperwork, GMPs, and raw materials.
Communicate findings to production teams and oversee corrective actions.
Inspect incoming materials based on specifications.
Perform inspection tests using lab instruments.
Evaluate and properly dispose of non-conforming materials.
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and sample pulls.
Understand and meet varying customer quality expectations.
Assist in decisions on product conformity.
Perform analytical testing as required.
Assist with customer complaint investigations and internal nonconformances.
Prepare for facility audits and product inspections.
Help update facility-related work instructions and procedures.
Provide quality and food safety training.
Follow GMP guidelines and report food safety issues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Basic math skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to read and follow instructions, specifications, and safety guidelines
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify quality issues in products and packaging
