RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer for a 6-12-month Contract to hire opportunity which is 100% remote (EST Hours).

Role & Responsibilities:

• Senior Full Stack Engineer will oversee and contribute to all aspects of engineering and design solutions for all parts of the business where software is needed: backend, frontend, back office, data warehousing, and reporting


• Lead and execute the design and architecture of scalable and reliable software systems


• Maintain and improve the existing codebase, ensuring high standards and clear documentation


• Champion the adoption of best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our technical solutions, including code reviews, automated testing, and performance optimization


• Implement security best practices to ensure a secure information data pipeline


• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will work with a team of offshore engineers to augment your own individual contributions


• Understand business needs and create tools to solve them effectively


• Collaborate across departments, including growth and product, to contribute to and execute a comprehensive product roadmap

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience as a true full-stack software engineer - Deep understanding of the entire engineering stack, from databases to UI


• Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, React on the front-end


• Prior experience at a startup - someone who understands structure, comfortable implementing best practices and processes but also understands the scrappiness from the startup; If not formal startup, must come from a small team at a midsized company (no enterprise)


• Prior experience at a high-traffic consumer sites - fintech preferred but not required


• Experience of leading/mentoring/managing other engineers


• Node.js on the backend, GraphQL, PostgreSQL or NoSQL


• Strong communication skills - able to articulate technical ideas to non-technical colleagues, strong collaboration


• A curious problem-solver, ready to solve problems in a creative way


• Proven ability to work cross-functionally with product teams, other engineers, etc., to deliver high-performing user experiences


• GCP/Google Cloud preferred, open to an equivalent cloud services platform

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
