RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Global Compliance and Accounting Project Lead in Culver City, CA.

Overview:
The IFRS 2.0 project team is responsible for implementing the newly released IFRS 18 accounting standard. This position will join the IFRS 2.0 project team within the Global Finance Operations (GFO) as they begin the implementation phase of our project. This role will play a crucial part of the implementation of a modified Chart of Accounts (-modified COA-) and will work closely with members from respective line of business(es) to ensure compliance with new IFRS regulations, enhance financial reporting processes including system changes, and maintain robust internal controls.

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Work with the IFRS2.0 project team to implement IFRS18 requirements, ensuring all financial records and reports comply with the new regulations; Example activities include:


  • Attend IFRS 2.0 project ceremonies as required (e.g., daily standup, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives)

  • Understand the goals for each sprint and collaborate with GFO members to deliver/implement the needed changes

  • Coordinate with Governance, Oversight and Adoption (-GOA), Global Consolidation Reporting (-GCR-), Technical Accounting, and IT/systems team as needed to implement changes

  • Prepare detailed documentation on discussions and decisions made throughout implementation, and report to the project team on progress or blockers

Work with the GFO team to make necessary changes to reports and processes, including modified COA, as well as relevant process update including systems; Examples activities include:

  • Understand the new requirements by IFRS18, including the guidance that has been prepared by the Technical Accounting teams







REQUIREMENTS:



  • BS/BA - Accounting, Business, Finance or Economics

  • CPA (or equivalent) is preferred, not required

  • Financial Reporting experience

  • Audit and internal controls compliance experience

  • Change management and communications experience across a wide variety of stakeholders

  • CoA knowledge; SPE CoA is a preference

  • SAP/BW/S4 HANA systems knowledge

  • Detail oriented, with excellent analytical and project management, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Able to multitask, prioritize and meet all deadlines

  • Advanced in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts, etc.)

  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including note taking and tracking action items from conversations and emails

  • Self-motivated, team player

Preferred, not required:

  • Entertainment experience

  • Public Accounting experience

  • Exposure to project management, especially Agile/Scrum

  • Other systems exposure: NetSuite






The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
