Growing IT and Engineering Support Contractor in Cape Canaveral is seeking a motivated collaborative individual to join our team as an Accountant / Business Analyst II. This position requires an individual that can work well in a team environment with an attention to details as well as good written and verbal communication skills. Will perform accounting tasks to include calculating, posting, and verifying information to obtain financial data for use in maintaining accounting records.

This is a hybrid position requiring a portion of the work to be completed on site.

Job Duties

• Review expenses for accuracy, correct coding, and government compliance
• Review submitted invoices and confirm supporting documentation, correct G/L coding, and appropriate approval prior to entering invoice into accounts payable system for payment
• Conduct independent research, follow-up, and resolution of PO/variance/matching/receiving issues
• Maintain up to date information for vendors, input new vendors in compliance with company policies
• Review, verify, and process invoices and check requests in a timely and accurate manner

• Perform monthly reconciliation of various bank and credit card accounts
• Respond to government audits
• Support and foster team environment by participating in corporate projects requiring financial evaluation

• Three to five years of relevant experience
• Proficient with desktop office software, with a strong proficiency level in Excel
• Attention to details and problem solving skills
• Sound decision making skills and ability to multi task, while working under specific deadlines
• Government accounting experience preferred
• Experience in Deltek Costpoint preferred
