Location: Remus, Michigan
Short & Sweet: Employee is responsible for loading and unloading trucks according to procedures, all required paperwork, maintaining accurate records and maintaining a clean intake bay and silo corridor in compliance with Leprino and regulatory standards. Employee is expected to maintain good relations with haulers and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Employee will be able to record information as appropriate in CIM and SAP.
Schedule: 2nd (2PM - 10:30 PM) and 3rd Shift (10:00 MP - 6:30 AM) Relief Operator
*Must be able to support weekends & holidays
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for notifying supervisor if milk truck tests positive for antibiotics to reject the truck.
• Verify seals match wash tags
• Verify wash tag date (must be within 72 hours) • Responsible for unloading milk from the milk trucks
• Responsible for unloading chemicals from chemical trucks.
• Responsible for loading out Cream and CSM trucks
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly “Master Sanitation” and equipment tear down programs.
• CIP of milk silos, milk trucks, and milk lines.
• Clean up and document any mess made from spills, connections, etc., to avoid unnecessary loss.
• Document receipt date, load number, truck ID, Bay number, route number, product ticket, supplier, hauler ID, trailer ID, trailer license ID, scale in, scale time, bay time, time in bay, BTU, pounds of product, difference in scale in pounds, silo milk is going into, and seal number.
• Print and scan BOLs and COAs
• Record pH, amount of antibiotics, and color of milk • Record temperature of silos and milk inside of milk truck.
• Record concentration of caustic, acid, and sanitizer used in CIP
• Document silo was logs
• Sample and document milk sample for antibiotics.
• Take a drip sample for butterfat content.
• Perform TA, Ph, and other analytical tests that are needed
Minimum Requirements:
- Read and write legibly, and understand written and verbal instructions
- Ability to climb/crawl (climbing includes stairs and/or ladders, crawling includes into equipment and/or tanks)
- Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ability to interface with a computer. - Mechanically minded, with proven ability to trouble shoot equipment
- Attention to detail and accuracy as procedures are conducted
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation
- Must be able to communicte verbally and in writing
