Position Overview:

Are you passionate about delivering critical technology solutions to federal agencies and supporting their mission? Are you self-organizing, motivated, and client-focused? We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator to support an evident project with a scope that includes providing JWICS service to local and enterprise customer bases worldwide.

Position Summary:

The Client Support Technician (CST) is a local help desk for on-site customers needing assistance in the Joint Base San Antonio area. They will provide Public Key Infrastructure support and Multifactor Authentication (MFA) token management assistance. They will coordinate customer concerns with the local project and higher-tier managers and track issues until they are resolved. This position will ensure the organizational service support aligns with mission goals and objectives.

Specifically, this position will:

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as the Trusted Agent for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) issuance; understand and troubleshoot technical and non-technical aspects of user’s ability to obtain PKI certificates.
  • Validate Intelligence Community Entity Entitlements for PKI access levels.
  • Provide Multifactor Authentication Token support with setup, clearing, and unlocking devices.
  • Resolve IT issues quickly, effectively, and with the proper documentation . 
  • Run diagnostics to gather data, analyze, and resolve customer-reported on-site problems.
  • Demonstrate a solid working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
  • Use a ticketing system for managing help desk actions, currently, Service Now to keep detailed notes on tickets. 
  • Take direction from the Service Desk Lead, who will review and reset priorities to address the client's mission and high-priority initiatives. 
  • Build and maintain relationships with other groups (Government, Base Communications, etc.) as necessary to accomplish client objectives. 
  • Resolve and/or escalate tickets based on the agreed-upon Service Level Framework. 
  • Deploy IT equipment in NIPR/JWICS environments.
  • Assist Project Coordinators with Proposed Technical Solutions as needed.  

                  Position Requirements:

                  • High School diploma or technical trade school in a computer-related discipline.
                  • Must possess a current DOD TS clearance with SCI eligibility on day 1.
                  • Must have current CompTIA Security+ CE (IAT Level 2) certification. 
                  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in a help desk or CST position.
                  • Ability to problem solve and think critically.
                  • Attention to detail, good communication skills, and ability to multi-task.   
                  • ITIL 4 certification is preferred but not required.

                        Salary Range $63,500-68,000
