POSITION SUMMARY


As a Fuel Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for invoicing a broad range of petroleum products to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Working with both internal Sales and Marketers, along with carriers and customers, this position requires someone who is customer-service focused, able to identify potential issues, and take initiative to prevent future discrepancies.

This is a full-time position located in Onalaska, WI with a Monday through Friday, daytime hours schedule. Some overtime may be required. This position will also be responsible for:

  • Analyzing bills of lading to determine origin, destination, products, and freight handling
  • Reviewing sale orders for reasonableness and accuracy regarding products being sold, supply source, delivery location, selling price, freight, and credit terms
  • Creating and analyzing invoices to ensure compliance within contract terms
  • Preparing and distributing contract confirmations
  • Execution and administration of contract amendments
  • Providing customer service on contract balances or billing discrepancies
  • Completion of various month end activities including reconciliations, reporting, and expired contract maintenance
  • Working with internal accounting support team on a variety of tasks as needed

Position Requirements
  • High school diploma required, college courses in accounting strongly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and business software programs
  • Must be detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or billing preferred
  • Previous experience in fuel or related industry is a plus, but not required
