We are seeking a Medical Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to support our Veteran Affairs Operations in Malvern, PA.

What part would you play in this role?


As a Medical QA Specialist, you will work closely with medical providers and the Veterans Administration to ensure the documentation process is complete and accurate. In this role, you will review documentation sent over from medical providers and ensure the report is complete, concise, clear, and correct and the provider has accurately completed the Disability Benefit Questionnaires for delivery back to the VA.


In this rewarding role, you will:



  • Review and audit exam reports sent over from medical providers

  • Ensure all medical coding is complete and accurate

  • Ensure all tests have been ordered and completed, and present in the medical record

  • Coordinate with medical providers as needed for clarification of reports

  • Work with our in house appointment schedules to request additional appointments for the veteran as necessary



You must have:



  • High School diploma, or equivalent (GED)

  • Minimum of 1 year of Healthcare, medical, or insurance-related industry experience

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of anatomy and medical terminology

  • Understanding of medical conditions and their progression in the body

  • Ability to read and analyze medical reports

  • Ability to apply clinical reasoning (diagnostic testing)

  • Ability to write clear questions to submit to the provider

  • Experience working with medical providers (credentialing, medical coding, chart audits, triage, scribe, nursing)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to creatively utilize available resources to find solutions.

  • Self-motivated and proactive in task management, consistently seeking opportunities for improvement.


Preferred to have:



  • Allied medical professional certification, or relevant college, or vocational training in the medical field, i.e. LVN, CNA, Military Corpsman/Medic, EMT, MA, etc.

  • Experience assisting with medical tests, treatments and procedures 

  • Knowledge of military medical examinations or experience working with the VA

  • Knowledge of general disability claims, workers compensation, or audits

Typical Day:




  • Environment: This is a true, Healthcare administration role. While working onsite you'll be working in an open office layout, with cubicles side to side. 90% of your day is head down reviewing and auditing medical claims. Your main communication will occur with your internal team and during provider collaborations. 


  • Schedule: Mon – Thursday ONSITE:  8:30am – 5pm EST at our headquarters in Malvern, PA located at 1700 Paoli Pike Malvern PA 19355; Friday - Remote work 


  • Training: Consists of  4-8 month of foundational, coaching and mentorship training; the length of time is  depending on how well you pick up the material

    • Includes 120 Day Probation Period which you will be given objectives to achieve.

    • This timeframe lets you assess your readiness for the position as well as allows Leidos QTC Heath Services to determine your ability to successfully perform the job.

    • You will be provided objectives, documentation, training, and performance feedback during the 120-day probationary period as part of your assimilation to the role. After successfully completing the 120-day probationary period, you will be considered a permanent employee.




Pay: 




  • Starting pay: $23.10 per hour

    • with a 3% increase upon completion of the 120 day probationary period ($23.79)

    • and 5% increase upon graduation of training ($24.98)




  • Eligible for quarterly bonus up to 6% (rough range from 1-6% = 129.89-779.00) 

  • Eligible for Annual Merit Increases up to 5% (Growth each year!)
