Responsibilities
We are seeking an ambitious and energetic Exclusion Technician that enjoys working independently outdoors to service and protect homes and their surrounding environments from unwanted pest activity. The Pest Control industry is not exactly what it may seem. Pest Control is more of a maintenance program to ensure that our customers don’t suffer from reoccurring pest activity. Like electricians or HVAC technicians, our ultimate goal is to ensure the safety and well-being of the customers that we serve.
What You’ll Do
Exclusion, Inspection, and Repair:
Conduct detailed inspections of homes, businesses, and structures to identify pest entry points, such as gaps, holes, and other vulnerable areas.
Uses materials such as wire mesh, sealants, and hardware to seal entry points effectively and prevent future pest infestations.
Perform minor repairs to siding, roofing, vents, chimneys and other areas that may provide access to pests.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, completed exclusion work, and materials used. Provide detailed reports to clients regarding the status of the property and future recommendations.
Ensures jobs are done legally, professionally, and within specifications.
Maintain contact with homeowners, homebuyers, their agents, company inspectors, and others regarding work to be completed.
Work closely with pest service technicians to ensure complete pest management service, including identifying areas where exclusion is necessary after pest removal.
The ability to place safety and health requirements as first importance in the performance of their work duties. Each employee must obey safety instructions, rules, policy and procedures and use provided and installed safety devices and safety equipment.
Cover technician routes during peak times or when other technicians are unavailable, conducting pest control treatments and inspections at residential and commercial properties.
Customer Service:
Communicate with clients about the exclusion process, educate them on prevention techniques, and ensure customer satisfaction
Provide follow-up inspections to ensure exclusion efforts are effective over time and recommend any additional treatments or repairs.
Respond to internal communications and taking action as necessary.
Manage difficult customer situations; respond promptly to customer needs; solicit customer feedback to improve service.
Other Duties:
Responsible for properly accounting for company funds received or spent for business activities.
Maintain company issued equipment and vehicle in clean condition at all times.

Qualifications
What You’ll Need
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be extremely knowledgeable in their field of expertise and possess solid technical aptitude in line with the Clark Service Standards.
The Exclusion Technician must possess:
Familiarity with construction methods and terminology, knowledgeable of current rules and regulations enacted by various governmental agencies (i.e., SPCB and Building Departments), and familiar with all types of wood destroying organisms, the types of damage they do, and how to effect control methods.
The ability to read and interpret field notes and diagrams, and the ability to read and understand label instructions regarding treatment procedures.
Excellent customer service skills, including good judgment in decision making, prompt response to customer needs, and solicitation of customer feedback to improve service
Excellent interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution and active listening skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak clearly and efficiently in English, draft accurate and professional written communications, and check for spelling and grammatical errors.
Excellent organizational skills in order to prioritize and plan work activities and use time efficiently. Must be able to follow policies and procedures, complete administrative tasks correctly and on time, and support and role model the organization's goals and values.
What’s Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
A valid driver's license.
Attend regularly scheduled training sessions and maintain a Branch II and Branch III Field Representative license from the State of California and the Structural Pest Control Board or a Nevada C1, C2 or C3 (Nevada only), which you are expected to obtain within three attempts after your hire date.
