Top Security Clearance is required. Job duties may vary among departments and/or assignments. Duties generally include, but are not limited to the following: Working with various testing equipment, measuring devices, meters and tools in adjusting, wiring, repairing and maintaining various equipment and systems.
Testing, diagnosing, analyzing, and locating troubles.
Installing, repairing, and adjusting equipment and facilities.
Performing routine maintenance including inspecting, cleaning, testing and lubricating. Keeping detailed records of work activities.
Interpreting AT&T c practices, diagrams, specifications, drawings, and service orders. Using soldering iron and mechanical connecting tools to terminate or connect wires. Maintaining rectifiers, batteries, and related power equipment. Locating and repairing leaks in pressurized cable. Climbing ladders and poles.
In special services assignment, the following additional functions may be performed: Handling customer contacts, accepting trouble reports, testing circuits, analyzing results and directing trouble investigations.
