Job Description:

Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a Full-Time Crisis Therapist to add to our team of professionals.  This position will work at our Crisis Unit located in downtown Evansville.  

$3,000 Sign-On BONUS offered for this position!!! 

(Bonuses are paid half after 90 days of employment and half after 180 days of employment.)

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?


  • Conduct brief risk assessments and develop safety plans

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments.

  • Provide brief crisis interventions in individual or group therapy settings

  • Provide consultation, support, and training for loved ones of the individual in crisis

  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation, including assessments, triage, safety and care plans

  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the treatment team, which could be an internal team, or with a community provider

  • Maintain contact with referral sources and other community providers

  • Collaborate with leadership related to crisis services needs and opportunities.

  • Provide crisis services to a broad population with varying needs (children, adolescents, adults and older adults)

OTHER FUNCTIONS:                


  • Provide consultation/education service as needed to other Southwestern staff and outside professional groups and community members.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  Working conditions may include hostile and/or threatening individuals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Master Degree in Social Work or related field of study, LSW or LCSW/LMFT/LMHC

  • Experience partnering with community agencies for care coordination

  • Direct care experience working with individuals with psychiatric and addiction issues; knowledge of working with homeless and underserved population

  • Experience completing risk assessments and creating crisis safety plans

  • Obtain and maintain valid driver’s license.
