Job Description:

We are hiring for an experienced Industrial Hygienist to join our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) team on a full-time, direct basis while based at our office in Stamford, CT .



Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to EHS projects associated with asbestos, lead-based paint [LBP], PCB's, mold, and/or indoor air quality [IAQ].
  • Perform inspections, remediation oversight, laboratory data interpretation, post-remediation clearances, and prepare inspection & remediation oversight reports.
  • Work independently on assigned projects in Stamford and the surrounding areas; these projects occasionally require working during evenings, weekends, and/or extended stay travel.
  • Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.




Basic Requirements:

  • Associate's (or higher) in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, EHS, Safety Management, Natural Science, or a related field of study (recent graduates are encouraged to apply!).
  • 3+ years of professional experience working with EHS-related tasks (preferably with Industrial Hygiene and/or Environmental Remediation).
  • Asbestos Inspector and Asbestos Project Monitor credentials in CT.



This person will be expected to work regularly in the field, so they will be required to possess a Valid Driver's License as well as Reliable Transportation.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour credential.
  • Lead Inspector license in CT (and/or EPA training).
  • Mold Assessor license in NYS.
  • Asbestos Analyst Registry Certification.
  • Proven expertise with OSHA regulations, especially with air sampling methodologies.
  • Advanced expertise working with field-based testing & sampling at client sites.
  • Experience working in construction.
  • Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications (e.g.: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Proven ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills, especially when working on a variety of projects while providing solutions to difficult issues.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to adapt / desire to learn new things while on the job.
  • Strong attention-to-detail skills with the proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy & precision, especially while following established procedures (as-written).
  • Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while displaying excellent time management skills (i.e.: effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); this person will be expected to maintain field notes that are legible, accurate, and detailed.
