Position Summary: The Department of Chemistry at the University of South Florida (USF) seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time, non-tenure-earning position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.

The position is expected to start August 7, 2025 on the St Petersburg campus, with a competitive salary. The position duties include but are not limited to:

• Teaching biochemistry courses and curriculum development.

• Teaching sub-discipline chemistry courses

• Serving on departmental committees.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry or a closely related field with a promising record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor of Instruction.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have experience teaching biochemistry lecture and lab courses as well as teaching experience in sub-discipline chemistry courses.
