Ultimate Staffing is currently seeking a Buyer to support a client in Rancho Cordova. This role can be a temp-to-hire role based on performance. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test upon offer of employment. The client operates a schedule of Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:30 pm and Fridays 8:00 am - 3:00 pm for a total of 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required at times depending on the workload. The positions is 100% onsite. The client is an ITAR facility.
Job Duties:
Manage bids and negotiate prices with vendors and suppliers.
Utilize ERP and MRP to forecast demands.
Administer purchasing activities and planning of materials.
Review and analyze material shortages.
Generate reports to review purchasing performance.
Evaluate ECO's.
Consistently source for new suppliers for materials.
Requirements:
1 - 3 years of purchasing experience.
Basic knowledge of ISO and AS9100
Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office.
ERP/MRP experience.
