Job Description: The position of SMT Operator performs the function of operating and programming surface mount assembly equipment, and manufacturing SMT assemblies.
The SMT Operator will operate the following equipment:
Automated solder-paste stencil printing machine
Automated Solder Paste Inspection machine
Automated Adhesive Dispensing machine
Loading the proper components onto SMT Placement Machines.
Operating the automated SMT placement machines
Operating the reflow oven including loading recipes and performing weekly PM.
Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine and performing quality inspections at each stage to ensure correct assemblies are manufactured
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum High School Degree or GED
Six months or more experience with SMT Functions or automated equipment. Further on the job training will be provided
Component identification
Ability to read, follow rules, and instructions
Must be able to read assembly documentation
Work well with other employees in a team
Attention to detail and neatness
Interface with process engineering to identify/resolve problems
Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable ISO processes - preferred
Working Conditions:
Warehouse and clean working environment
Overtime is expected when necessary
1st shift (training only) - 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM (9/10 work schedule with every other Friday off)
On the job training provided. Roughly first 3 weeks of training will be spent on 1st shift (6:00 am - 3:30 pm). After training is complete, move to 2nd shift.
