Ion Implant Engineer

Job Description:

The Role:

Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a/an Ion Implant Engineer to join our team. In this position you will lead applications testing through operation and ownership of an ion implant tool in order to support our new product development initiatives. You will leverage your skills to support other new product development projects through test plan development and experimentation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage ion implant tool schedule to ensure the proper resourcing and project priorities are being met

  • Operate the ion implant tool to support projects through the identification of impact on tool performance indicators such as beam current and ion source lifetime

  • Support the development of an applications testing roadmap to ensure that the needed capabilities are added and maintained in alignment with business initiatives

  • Provide technical reports that are supported with data

  • Maintain a focus on safety in the operation of the ion implant tool and all other activities

What We Seek:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in ion implant equipment service and operation

  • Minimum 2-year technical degree in engineering or similar field

  • Demonstrated experience in operation of an ion implant tool including beam tuning, maintenance and troubleshooting

  • Previous experience operating gas handling and delivery systems as well as automated control systems and programming

  • Experience with multiple operating systems such as Windows, Unix, and Factory Link

  • Experience handling toxic gases, gas mixtures and liquefied gases

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Statistical analysis and principles experience including the use of DFSS tools a plus

  • Experience with new product introduction using a phase gate development approach a plus
